The credit of the website’s high quality images goes to Rizwan Baig, Pakistan’s leading fashion photographer since 1999, who showed his mettle in product photography through these incredibly fine photographs. We offer a special note of thanks to him for dedicating long hours from his extremely busy schedule to our project at a fraction of his usual compensation. Identifying different types of swords and daggers in the armory collection was a challenge we overcame with the help of Mr. Runjeet Singh, a UK based specialist of antique eastern arms and armor. Almost all descriptions of swords and daggers featured here are based on Mr. Singh’s notes; we are indebted to Ms. Sonia Dhami, Executive Director of the Sikh Foundation, for introducing us to Mr. Singh. Our Persian translations and transliterations owe their accuracy to Dr. Fatima Fayyaz’s (Assistant Professor, LUMS) generosity with her time and to Prof. Aqila Zaman (LUMS) for her attention to details while editing the text. Space limitations have not allowed us to name many others who played important roles in building this repository of visuals and text, but we will be on the lookout for an opening to acknowledge their contributions as we go forward. Thank you all once more for your generosity and support—we could not have done it without you!
